@KaiserMazoku i didn't interpret it that way that he doesn't think about him anymore, but rather that he took him off such a high pedestal? calling him by his name meant he was seeing him as a person and not just his father

there's some mischaracterisation i see in the fandom a fair bit, the idea that eustace hates his dad. he doesn't! i'd even say he can't. he just can't
