A. The specimens by BAL and TBBx have to be sent for Oil Red O stain
B. Please call path and ask NOT to put all of BAL in fixative and send one TBBx placed in SALINE, not formalin.

For #PCCM physicians please consider when performing bronchoscopy:
1. Perform serial BALs in the least affected area to evaluate for DAH
2. Send BAL for cell count looking for eosinophils
3. Perform a BAL in most affected area as well looking for lipoid pneumonia.
