We are in control. It is just guidance and guidance I will be ignoring in my nurseries. I promote best practice in my , respect for the child, respect for my amazing #montessori #earlychildhood team and all their safety.

We have to collectively do our best to stop these abhorrent changes to ratios which will only put children's safety at greater risk and put extensive extra workload on our educators. Their consultation results say it isn't wanted and will detrimentally impact a child's education but they are still pushing it through anyway whilst thinking parents are overjoyed that's saving them £40 a month.

Up early because my brain is buzzing with ideas for building a mixed age curriculum. A scaffold not a straight jacket, to support not stifle. It’s going to be a challenge but it’s really exciting. It’s funny how many of my ideas come when I’m taking a break from work!

The #earlyyears is the most important stage of #primaryeducation. If you get it wrong, you spend the next 6 years trying to put it right. If you get it right, you can spend the next 6 years building on it.
