PART 2 💔
My inability to continue with the absence of physical torch, emotional support and constant money talks slowly took a toll on me and drowned the relationship.
Fastforward to how I have to end things with her even though love was still breathing
The issues compounded when I saw a message in her phone "When are you coming" Although she claimed nothing was going on, it was enough for me to find the strength to end the relationship, using my lack of trust as a shield against my desire for her.
Love is really a powerful bond cos in my loneliest of days she is all I think about, her laughters and genuine efforts to sing along to my weird song choices are some of the best memories I hold dearest to my heart. Especially for someone like me that has never given love a chance till I met her and after.
Five years gone, and I remain alone, Not for ability to bond with another but for measuring every new flame against a past
that felt like the purest form of love and searching for an upgrade that may not exist.
Truth is, I can't go back. Not because love is gone, but because fear remains.
The fear of breaking her twice, if things don't work out again, due to long period apart & some religious strains, I know my family won't tolerate without a fight.
Now I'm caught between impossible choices & Questions in need of urgent answers:
Just Go back and try again, never go back to an old flame Or give love another chance with someone new???

I broke up with my ex about five years ago, but we still keep in touch and view each other’s status on WhatsApp and TikTok. For anonymity, let me call her Chioma. I met Chioma on Facebook, and she was actually the first to send a friend request. When I replied, things just flowed naturally from there. After long nights of texting, calling, and flirting, we decided to meet in person. She was a joy to behold,. not just because of her beauty & gorgeous smile but because of her laughter, how easy she was to relate with, and her ability to make me smile effortlessly. We later had mind-blowing sxx that day, without any form of pushback, she just wanted me so badly. The fact that she was so sweet, made me fall harder for her. Still, I have never told a girl “I love you,” because I’ve never felt the need to, But those words flowed easily with Chioma and it was well reciprocated. We lived in different cities, so she usually visited without collecting a dime for transport fare. Even when I tried to give her money, she refused. But everything changed when she got admission to study in one of those states where the girls are notorious for being overly money-conscious and billing you at every available chance. I have always swore never to love a girl that's still in school cos it comes with alot of monetary obligations but love makes us do stupid things & break tradition. Truth is, I’ve never been a Student of GehGeh’s University, but I’m also not that guy, to give out my money when I spot a red flag. Gradually, the billing started coming in. In the form of, my parents stopped taking care of me cos of my choice of course,.. since I’m studying Fine Arts and they wanted me to go for Law. She was bad at asking directly, probably because of how the relationship started. Instead, there was constant nagging about her problems, and she was no longer available for my emotional and physical needs, which really xxxx. forgot to say GM, GM ☺️

People that are not part of the training of a child, tend to influence them more. Why?
Well, I grew up in a very conservative Deeper Life family, where we were taught that not only was drinking alcohol or smoking a sin but even buying them for someone else was considered an even greater offense, punishable by eternal damnation.
Staying in an estate where everyone knew everyone and I had to attend Sunday morning services, evening house fellowships, Monday Bible study, Thursday revival hour and daily one hour dose of morning divotions. Way too much Church, right? lol
Coupled with the fact that all the friends I had were people I knew from Church and we all attended the same school. As a result, we shared the same ideology of abstaining from alcohol and smoking, though not from women, which was our Achilles heel.
However, today I won’t be talking about my romantic misfortunes. Instead, I want to talk about how I ended up mixing with the wrong people at the university and how everything I planned and hoped for myself eventually went sour.
After my secondary education, I gained admission into a very prestigious institution of higher learning, a federal university in Kwara State and which was ranked number one in Nigeria at the time.
I vividly remember the night before my departure for the University, I couldn’t sleep a wink, overwhelmed with joy. I was finally leaving home and chasing my dream of becoming a medical student.
Even though I was forced to study Anatomy instead of my preferred course, the plan was clear,. get excellent first year grades and be considered for a transfer to Medicine and Surgery.
There was a common phrase then "Face Tanke" it meant the students must sit up or risk losing their admission due to low CGPA.
My first year was not as I had envisaged. The introduction of Computer Based Tests (CBT), which were completely new to me at the time, significantly affected my grades. As a result, I couldn’t qualify for a transfer to Medicine and Surgery, though I was still on track for a first class degree in Anatomy.
I moved to the clinical campus in my second year and everything changed when I had to stay with two other guys just for awhile before I settle in properly.
One of them, Ade, was an exceptionally brilliant student, while the other, Chudi, had no business being in school and was there only due to parental pressure. Yet both of them shared a knack for habits that went completely against everything I believed in. Xxxx Part 2 incoming
