Have no doubt: the campaign to sack Misan Harriman is part of an assault on black figures in public life. We are all expected to take note, for fear of equally stepping out of line. My piece in today's Guardian theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

5 men used all their body weight to restraint one black man. As he was faced down, one continuously pressed his knee on his neck until he stopped breathing. Happened in Dublin, Ireland. They’re under every post laughing and calling it the Irish George Floyd. Rest in Peace Yves Sakila.

I am reminded by this podcast that The Slumflower appeared on recently, that Nigerian men are dangerously and violently regressive, collectively. They're also so aggressively simplistic in their thought processes. Proper not keeping up and everyone can see it 😔

a wikipedia read of Alhassan Dantata's own father says he was a slave trader in his time, another modern day billionaire dynasty you can trace to slave trade

❝My mom's grandfather, Al-Hassan Dantata was the richest West African during his time. My own late grandfather, Sanusi Dantata was actually the richest Nigerian at some point.❞ - Alhaji Aliko Dangote

It’s a sad day to see Claire’s close down. This is what happens when kids are brought up on influencer culture, they're not happy with 99p zigzag hairbands, peel-off varnish, earring STICKERS, and now need top-name skincare and Monica Vinader bangles. A total loss for childhood💔

I’d love to understand why middle class YT Brits love to migrate there too. I know a uber posh couple who moved there a few years ago which shocked me cause I was definitely 1 of the 5 Black people they even knew and they still somehow managed to not have any Black friends there
Mina, dat big cat babe@MinaLioness

The amount of white people in Barbados was shocking though. Our entire flight was White Brits, there were a handful of black passengers. Every single time they asked us if we were ‘going home’ and every time I responded in my peaky blinders accent that we’re going on holiday.
