People never thinks it can happen in their own countries. The US has been drawing ever-closer to fascism since Reagan began hollowing out state services as "big gov't" overreach & industries moved overseas to fatten their profits. Rage is easier to tap into if you're desperate, and misanthropes who hate their fellow humans aren't recognized as dangerous until their attacks become obvious.

For years I showed my history classes holocaust films. The ugly ones, ones we were not afraid to show on TV documentaries. Looking around at what’s going on in the country today, teachers must not be showing them anymore. How could we have Nazis here today after seeing those?

I feel so bad. Last week was a rough week at work. We had many complex and task intensive patients. Anyway, one of my work friends brought me lunch one night and that eased the tension. She said she would bring some homemade snacks the next day. Think pof-pof. The next day when we were at work I asked her if she brought it and she went of on me. I said okay and went about my business. I always buy snacks and food from the cafeteria regardless. An hour later we were alone at the station and I apologized to her, saying I am sorry and didn't mean she had to supply me with food. She waved me of harshly and said something which I didn't catch under her breath. I was done and let it be. Later, she brought out a bunch of food and said to help ourselves. I ignored her and went about my business. The next day I was exhausted and ended up taking a nap at a Royal Farms and got home late. My boss texted me and told me to be safe. Anyway, this girl had a terrible accident and I feel so bad. She will be out for six to twelve months. 💔💔
