This is just another piece of evidence, in my opinion, that Louis never saw Antoinette as genuine competition. Ironically, Claudia was much more preoccupied with Antoinette than Louis was. Louis's reaction always felt rooted in wounded pride and betrayal rather than fear of losing Lestat to her. Was he jealous? Absolutely. But did he ever actually feel threatened by Antoinette? Not for a second.
