@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 I don’t think Allen is going anywhere although that’s a gut call. He will be a better shooter next year for sure. He also will be more confident. No way he regresses haha

@wjp1_ @temarr25 Allen is versatile and has a lot of potential, I’m just not sure he can shoot it. Also some people still think he could leave. It would shock me if he went pro bc he’s not ready but neither was jd Davison or bediako so I dunno anymore

@wjp1_ @temarr25 Allen was our third best player the first half of the year. He struggled significantly the last half, and jemison fell off a cliff. I’d say overall it was still Philon Holloway wrightsell Sherell and then allen. If Allen had finished better he could have been 3rd

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 Oh of course I do, I was talking about the latter half of your statement. Oats isn’t going to let this team fail. This was our worst team since 2022 and would have been horrible if Jemison and Allen didn’t deliver some good. Allen was our second best player this year

@wjp1_ @temarr25 I’d absolutely love to be wrong on this. Maybe the freshmen and cloer will make a big impact, just saying I don’t think that’s something we can count on and we don’t have many players that have established they’re good yet in college

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 We’re not depending on them to shoot. We also have a big coming in for a visit that shoots at a 40% clip. Fleming and Garrison bring defense and athleticism

@wjp1_ @temarr25 We didn’t have to sign lights out shooters but those dudes we got can’t shoot at all. I wouldn’t have given garrison or probably Fleming a scholarship but we jumped on it. So right now we have one proven shooter in Holloway and he may not be back

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 Touché. I don’t understand the negativity really, but it’s alright. Philon took a massive step in his 3 point shooting from Fresh to Soph season. Who’s to say the freshman we had this year don’t do the same? No need to put the carriage before the horse

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 Maybe not, but together they are (Moneyball). They’re also infinitely more athletic. Remember Cliff Omoruyi? This is more like that. We will be a better team next year in a number of ways. Maybe not shooting, but lots of other ways

@wjp1_ @temarr25 We could’ve but garrison and Fleming definitely aren’t better than Sherell. Yes I’m an Alabama fan I’m just realistic. Garrison and Fleming aren’t good. And yeah wrightsell wasn’t always consistent but Philon is better than anyone we have by miles and wrightsell is too besides AH

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 Okay then don’t agree. You can be in that camp. It’s hard to find lights out shooters with size that don’t cost an arm and a leg. I’d be willing to put money on this team being a 4 seed or better next year. Care to take the other side?

@wjp1_ @temarr25 I don’t agree at all. Aden can shoot but he’s nowhere near a sure thing to be back. Allen and jemison r below average shooters and Allen has a terrible looking shot. Cloer hasn’t played a game and neither have the frosh. They may pan out who knows but we need established shooters

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 Are you even an Alabama fan? I agree losing Philon is tough, but have you ever seen Moneyball? Wrightsell wasn’t always consistent, and you couldn’t fit a phone book under Sherrell when he jumped. He made strides this past season, but to act like we can’t get better at C is wrong

@wjp1_ @temarr25 We would need a lot more to make up for losing Philon by himself and also losing wrightsell and Sherell. The bigs we signed are not good players

@LawlerDani13667 @temarr25 2022 not ring a bell? Holloway, Allen, Jemison, Samuels, Bouie, and Cloer can all shoot well. We already have athletic size that we didn’t have last year. If we get Wilkins and the big from Boise State it will undoubtedly be a better team than it was last year as a whole.

@wjp1_ @temarr25 It’s not a good roster as it stands. The bigs are awful and cant shoot. Completely depends on holloway right now. Still have time to add others but atm it’s the worst roster we’ve had by far under oats outside of the first season.

@temarr25 Nah I don’t think it’s close. This year going to be tough if we don’t add a couple really good players. And we didn’t really get anything out of our transfer class this year. If holloway doesn’t come back I don’t see how we’d make the tourney. If he does prob a 7- seed right now
