6 years ago today, a bunch of brilliant kids from our little primary school up north dared to dream big - and we hit the GOLDEN BUZZER! ✨🎉 We weren’t the best singers or dancers, but we were the happiest, the most enthusiastic and the most unapologetically us. That moment wasn’t just about BGT - it was about proving that joy, kindness and believing in yourself can take you anywhere. To everyone who’s ever felt like they’re not ‘good enough’ - you are. Three years ago this week, I put in a last minute UCAS application to four universities to study children’s nursing, and was accepted on all the courses. Two years ago this week, I started at Salford Univeristy, and met the most amazing people who are now amazing and lifelong friends. One year ago this week, I interviewed for the job that I went in to nursing to get - a paeds intensive care nurse. And I got the job! Today, having finished uni, I got my final results. Never could I have ever imagined, three years ago, that I would be leaving university with a Masters Degree in Nursing, graded as Distinction! I rarely celebrate my own achievements - but I’m mighty proud of this one! Next week - I start my induction on PICU! All inspired by my T. Always with me in all that I do.
