For those asking, it’s not 6v6 that decreases opportunity it’s moving to 11v11. Taking a player off the field GUARANTEES there will be approx 550 less women playing at the start of each game (1 per college team). From there, coaches CHOOSE how many subs they use or don’t use.

@khwood9 @amandaoleary5 None of these things are automatic. What is automatic is that we are taking one more opportunity away for a female athlete to compete in college athletics.

I wish there was a way to share this message with more parents. It is never easy to see your child struggle, but there is healthy growth in many of those moments that will serve them well into adulthood.

As adults, we need to stop 'stealing the struggle' from our kids/players. When we 'steal the struggle', we steal their opportunity for growth & learning. We need to prepare them for the path (teach resilience and confidence), but we can't prepare the path for them.
