#CaptainAmerica Brave New World actor William Mark McCullough addresses the rumors of extensive reshoots. “I’ve worked on a lot of big budget films, and they all have reshoots. That’s part of the process...I’d see the news stories and the kind of rumor mills on YouTube. And I was like, well, that’s just not true. Like I was there.” More from our EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: theholofiles.com/2025/02/23/exc…

Brave New World has a lot of stuff, but it surprises me how no one is talking about how they introduced Dennis Dunphy, Demolition Man, and instead of him being a wrestler inspired by Captain America and empowered by Power Broker, they just made him a Navy SEAL and killed him off.

Manhunt Episode Recap “A Man of Destiny” Plot: Booth and Herold cross into Virginia and make their way to Locust Hill, a farm owned by Richard Garrett. Stanton meets with the 16th New York Cavalry, Mudd is arrested. Inaccuracies: Boston Corbett is shown being Saved while selling hats on the street during a snowstorm. He was Saved while attending a prayer meeting. Stanton did not meet with or accompany the 16th to Bowling Green nor did he go to Saint Catherine’s and witness Mudd’s arrest. He was in Washington. Mudd’s wife, Sarah, discovered Booth’s boot under the guest bed and gave it to the authorities when her husband was arrested. Mary Simms was also not present at the arrest. Booth and Herold come across dead Confederate soldiers at Nanjemoy Creek and steal their clothes to blend in. There was no Confederate camp there, Booth and Herold didn’t change clothes at all while on the run, and the fugitives sought refuge at the home of John J. Hughes. Hughes turned them away and suggested they stay in a vacant slave cabin. The Lucas family is depicted as not being home when Booth and Herold arrive and discover the trespassers the next morning. In reality, they were home at the time Booth and Herold arrived at their cabin following the suggestion of Dr. Richard Stuart, who lived just up the road. Booth forced the Lucas family to spend the night outside and Charlie Lucas was forced to give the fugitives a ride to the Port Conway ferry terminal. Up to a dozen Confederates are at William Rollins’ ferry crossing. There were only 3 Confederate soldiers at the ferry crossing with Booth and Herold, Willie Jett, Mortimer Ruggles Bainbridge, and Absalom Bainbridge Ruggles. Jett mentions the Garrett Farm when in reality, Sarah Jane Payton, a Port Royal resident and friend of Jett, made the recommendation. The 16th New York Cavalry is seen camping. In reality, they were called to Washington and departed via steam ship on April 24 to Virginia. Stanton questions Jett as he and his girlfriend are headed to his room at the Star Hotel. In reality, Jett was woken up in the middle of the night and questioned by Detective Everton Conger in the early morning hours of April 26, 1865. Booth is seen being bathed in the Garrett House on the evening of April 25. In reality, Booth spent the night of the 24th in the house while Herold and Jett went to Bowling Green to look for a doctor for Booth. By the 25th, Richard Garrett became suspicious of Booth and Herold and made them spend the night in a tobacco barn on the property. The only good things about this episode were the costume design and the acting of William Mark McCullough as Boston Corbett. He played John Wilkes Booth in the Smithsonian Channel documentary “Lincoln’s Last Day”, produced for the sesquicentennial of the assassination.

It’s hard to pursue your dreams. It’s hard to get back up when you’ve been knocked down. It’s hard to be broke. It’s hard to look back on your life with regrets and “what if”s. It’s all hard. Choose your hard. I choose the hard of DOING rather than the hard of REGRET.
