Congrats to our Livestock Evaluation team who competed yesterday!

What’s the big dill? Today in food products class, we learned about food processing and canned our own dill pickles.

We sure were thankful for this beautiful weather for our November FFA Meeting @WestMillbrook !

Welcome November! The days are getting shorter, we'll get an extra hour of sleep this weekend, and our "Pay-What-You-Can" Farmstand presented by @BankofAmerica will be open every Wed from 2-5pm. Come check out our fall produce including cabbage greens, lettuce, kale and more! 🥬

Living to Serve!

Witnessing the student excitement of harvesting their first produce was a great way to end this busy week in the Agriculture Department @WestMillbrook! Proud of these students and their hard work to grow their first food from seed! @ncpublicschools

This morning @WestMillbrook agriculture students are at Camp Chestnut Ridge learning about lake ecosystems, owl pellets, and NC wildlife!

Students had a blast at the October FFA meeting yesterday afternoon! Next week, we will be voting on the top 10 painted pumpkins to determine a winner - more information to come!

The Food Products class @WestMillbrook is halfway through their garden to table projects. Over the next month they will continue to harvest, can, or prepare food with the produce they have grown from seed. They will also incorporate eggs from our chicken coop!

We’re on our first field trip since February of 2020 to the @NCStateFair and it’s so good to be back!

Had a fun filled day ⁦@NCStateFair⁩ with the ⁦@wmmsffa⁩ club celebrating #agriculture and couldn’t miss the pigs racing for cheese puffs.
