It’s easy to say they needed SP and this could have been prevented but - You’re not giving up #26 for Ranger Suarez, Gallen, Michael King with such heavy opt outs - Chris Bassitt, Littell, Kelly have all been bad. - Trading Ritchie + for Freddy Peralta without an extension is just bad process and Peralta has continued to regress. - Shane Baz moved for 4 prospects and a pick, outrageous price for a #3-#4 in most rotations. The only SP that made sense in both hindsight and now was/is Cease, but he signed incredibly early in the offseason and his contract without deferrals would be something I’d be interested in. 7/210 is pretty steep though.
