MW2019 did as much damage to the COD franchise as COD Ghosts, but because it was the game active during COVID, and everyone was home gaming, people are conflating the memories of that with the game being good.
But nearly every problem in modern COD started here.

i didn’t understand why the OW community had a reputation as being “the worst” for years until i actually played it, within a few months it has easily eclipsed anything i’ve seen or heard on counter strike or rainbow six when it comes to pretentious, egotistical players who aren’t even that good relative to the top level. this whole community is just high school drama layered onto a 3-way cold war between roles and its so bemusing
