Let's be clear. There's a lot of issues with this HBO Harry Potter series. Extra unnecessary added details, pointless raceswaps of minor characters that I, like many other Potterheads, could have overlooked. But Black Snape is such an insulting slap in the face it's a 100% deal breaker.

Remember how you have hated someone and it has been nothing to do with their race, YES, the same thing can happen in Harry Potter players. I hate ADC players in League of Legends, nothing to do with their race but that is what they are ADC players.

If fans accept cut scenes, rewritten dialogue, altered timelines, merged characters and personality shifts, then they’ve already accepted that adaptations are not 1:1 copies. Which is why I think the people complaining about Snape being black are bitches or racist or both.
