Interesting debate about whether the 'working class' are allowed to like opera. Brass bands are that class stereotype (mills/mines etc), but it's unusual for us NOT to include operatic arrangements. Our current overture is The Force of Destiny (Verdi) - audiences love it!

Yesterday evening we enjoyed a fantastic first rehearsal with Gary Cutt on Wilfred Heaton's 'Contest Music' ahead of the area contest in Cheltenham. It is a busy week for the band with sectionals this weekend followed by a concert in the wonderful @romseyabbey next Saturday! 🎺
