@JustLclay Bases serve as tools to help drive the creative process, like how artists post bases to use. In vr, you have to buy the right to use a base following its tos. If someone wants an avatar to look a certain way, they can buy the bases rather than steal the work someone else put in.

@wooonvr Most vrc avatars are derivative, the furries are only less generic because they have more bases that are fictional creatures that they can put any animal or flat color on and eboys and girls are most generic

People who rip avatars keep using the "They're just pixels" excuse when it is no different than tracing art. Making your own avatar is art. Making your own TEXTURES is art. Ripping work and claiming it as your own is stealing art, and it'll never be as good as the original.

So I’ve randomly just been suspended for the second time this month for 3 days- Seriously, what is going on at @VRChat? I don’t know if I should even submit an appeal this time because my first attempt with pictures, details and all was denied.

UPDATE: I’m unbanned! I attempted an appeal anyway with enough details like my previous one, and they actually accepted it this time! If you find yourself banned, I implore you to submit an appeal even if you’ve tried before on a previous ban, they may look through it again!

UPDATE KOSA and all age verification bills passed the subcommittee. They are now heading to the full committee. If you were not loud before, it's time to get loud now. There is still a week left in the House. There's a chance they rush these bills through it Call 202-224-3121!

Since I’ve seen others in the community also get a suspension, I suspect it's either VRChat's updated policy affecting a lot of creators or, more realistically, a group of people mass reporting avis in this community specifically. This is not the first time this has happened.

Unfortunately it appears VRChat has taken down Ignited Fexa- (to my knowledge so far. I don’t know if there are more of my avatars taken down.) I tried submitting an appeal with photos, but it was denied. I’ll see what I can do about her once my temporary suspension is up.
