📚🔎 I have officially launched the Beta of my passion project, Booklooky.com—an actual rating system to let us parents know what subject matters are in our children's books. It works for all books, but the idea came from not knowing what my kids are reading and being exposed to. I realized that all forms of content we consume have ratings: movies, TV shows, video games, music... but not books! It is a free tool and will always be free. Use it as much as you like. I'll be publishing an Android App today and IOS as soon as I can. You can easily just take a picture of the book cover and the system will analyze it. It is a system to understand book content, categorize it, and produce a rating that's easy to understand for kids and parents alike. My 10 year old created the Logo and it has been a family effort to create this, with both my children, wife, and friends helping. I would love any feedback as it is a work in progress. Here's an example from one of my favorite childhood books. BookLooky Rating for: 📚 "Redwall" by Brian Jacques Looky Rating System (LRS) •💥Violence: 5/5 •❤️Romance: 0/5 •🧠Mental Health: 1/5 •🧙Fantasy: 5/5 •💬Language: 0/5 •🍷Substance Use: 0/5 •🏳️‍🌈Gender: 0/5 •😨Fear / Horror: 4/5 booklooky.com/book/wwFULZMqU…

@wholemars Its incredible people think that they cost this much. In my town there are Teslas every other car. And I still hear my friends tell me they cannot afford one after they bought a 60k jeep

@NYKChannel im happy about this. I let my kids play with it with me there. They clicked spicy mode not knowing what it ment and had some mildly inaproppriate things. I didn't even realize what I was watching till they said they clicked spicy mode. I havn't let them use it since.

@Wootini @MtnHomebody If you’re interested, @ChHouseBooks will have a full curriculum offering as well. The website will be live in the next week and will show the full selection. It is good books focused, and can neatly fold into whatever teaching method a person uses.

@jessegenet @GoogleDeepMind @openclaw I always looking at Gemma also. Glad to hear it is successful. Have you looked in to changing to Xai instead of Claude? The only reason I've found to used Claude is for large coding project. Xai has done very well for me for information... Ie curriculum

It’s happened. Mac Studio is here. Gemma 4 31b @GoogleDeepMind installed, chatting with my main @openclaw for $0 in token expenses now... I've burned $5-6k on tokens on my crazy ideas over past few months, so this mac studio should pencil out for me within 3 months or so 🤓

@Alt_Azn Ya it's the Japanese people, society, and culture that makes it able to work. All rail bring on time within seconds, clean quiet trains, respectful to everyone... That culture is why it works.

@newstart_2024 Who did those terrible jobs then? Like who decided to be the garbage man, the plumber who has to clean out used drains, etc? This makes no sense. It cannot work.

In the 1970s, a small Canadian town called Dauphin was chosen at random for a remarkable experiment. The government gave every resident a guaranteed basic income — the equivalent of about $15,000 a year in today’s money — with no strings attached and no way to lose it. What happened next was fascinating. People spent more time with their kids. Very few quit working entirely, but many stopped accepting terrible jobs, which actually raised overall working conditions. Employers had to offer better pay and standards to attract workers. But the most striking result? Hospitalizations for severe depression and anxiety dropped by 9% in just three years. Johann Hari shared this story and it left me thinking: what if a simple floor of financial security could meaningfully improve mental health at a population level? It’s one of those rare real-world experiments that makes you question a lot of assumptions about work, poverty, and human well-being. Have you ever heard about the Dauphin experiment before? What surprised you most?

Hottake I'm increasingly trusting AI reviews over individual human. People chase $$$ as motives. AI delivers (mostly) unbiased facts or at least averages from thousands of opinions Change my mind!

@flowidealism That's crazy. They literally are taking the enjoyment and wonder if reading, breaking down to gamify it in an attempt to make kids read but actually the results are to read for points instead of read for the enjoyment. Our public system needs complete dismantling and rebuild

Just found out I have to be in Central Oregon early next week and flights are looking crazy expensive to get there… So guess that calls for a last-ish minute unplanned FSD v14 road trip in my Model Y.

@hannahcenters 100%. Agree. I found out the other day of The USAs literacy rate and was appalled. I cannot believe how bad it is In my state of Oregon it's not even mandatory to be able to read to graduate high school. Every parent should be pushing reading time instead of ticktock time

@dhruvtwt_ Pain point is still the same , you need claude sub and other sub to access the top tier models. Just that now you can harness claude code rules , prompts and hooks in projects

It’s been 24 hours… and someone already dropped OpenClaude. Built on the Claude Code source snapshot that went public via an npm source map exposure on March 31, 2026. And the best part? You can now use it with 200+ models via OpenAI compatible APIs.

March was the first month since releasing The Tenacious Tale of Tanna the Tendersword in April 2024 to not sell a single book... 23 straight months for a self-published Middle Grade fantasy is pretty dang awesome. Prob really need to get that sequel done soon, eh @DeweyWConway?

@pelaseyed Ha I built my own too. I called it GrokPaw. But i don't have computer control. That sounds most excellent! I am on Mint though. I have been wondering why everyone always talks about Claude and OpenAI but generally never whisper Grok. I have had really good exp with Grok 4.20

@noahrainbowSC I asked a simple question: Is that book appropriate for elementary kids? You dodged it like it’s rocket science. If that’s a tough call for you, maybe you shouldn’t be anywhere near education policy.
