We are among the delegates participating in the just commenced National comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development programme(CAADP), non State actors workshop, which aims to strengthen non-State actors engagement in Agriculture food systems transformation.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Today 8th March, 𝟸𝟶𝟸𝟼, we joined the world in marking the International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme: Give to Gain; which reminds us that when we give to women (opportunities/resources) the whole society gains.

Last week,we took Resilient Agriculture that works for Young People(RAY) Project to Enyapora village.The program aims to provide tools,resources&support geared towards the success of young women,men & PWDs in sustainable agribusiness with major focus on regenerative agriculture.

Today we did what is right! We submitted our memorandum on County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2026 during the public participation at cultural center.

Today, WOPA joined the world in marking the World AIDS day, reflecting on the milestones we have come and the existing gaps in combating it. The task to eliminate the triple threat; HIV infections, teenage pregnancies and GBV needs all of us both in political and community arena.

Kakamega County CSOs network has been deliberate on NTDs suppression and eventual elimination through increased funds allocation. Yesterday's meeting aimed at deliberating on the gains so far, challenges and way forward as we approach 2025 - 2026 3rd quarter.

We partnered with Top Girl for mentorship at Mwitoti Primary.We engaged learners in topics such as academic excellence,personal growth & self-confidence.Mentorship provides vital support,guidance, & a safe space for young minds to flourish.

Last weekend marked a milestone in enhancing community awareness on drug and substance abuse as we joined KEYNET and other CSOs in alcohol Prevention awareness walk in Butere. Collectively, we can strengthen prevention efforts in our immediate suroundings and beyond.

At WOPA,we embrace partnerships,collate & consolidate funding,all geared towards community empowerment.under YISA project we have recruited,trained & availed funds to over 200 youth groups. Welcome tomorrow as we reflect,celebrate, create linkages and expose groups to experts.

We are using theater to engage the community by sensitizing and creating awareness on key challenges facing women, like unpaid care work, exclusion from decision-making, GBV, land rights and harmful cultural practices while offering practical strategies to address them.

Today, WOPA was among stakeholders that graced a consultative forum that was convened by FIPS Africa at Golf Hotel focusing on access to finance (loans, grants), which is a critical component of growth for agriculture, businesses, groups and organizations.
