I still use social media for expression at the periphery. I tend to find the middle ground of an issue, by touching on the extremes at either end, and then working inwards. I don't like this new 'government sanctioned' view of social media, that it is to be sworn affidavit; and every post you make or idea you touch, somehow has your blood-bound, undying allegiance. ie. Back off, Feds. It's just Twitter.

@HomericFuturist That's what conservatives get wrong, is this idea that we can somehow go back to the way things were. But what the liberals get wrong, is they don't realize that 'BUILD BACK BETTER' is a 2-way street. Game on.

@BowTiedYukon Naw. Guys that are jacked have no time for nonsense. There is a correlation between waistline and neediness.

The reason 75% of women surveyed preferred dad bods is because 100% of the women surveyed were fat Women take the dad bod because if a man won’t put time & energy into keeping himself physically fit then there can’t be an expectation for them to either

Daughter's 16th birthday party is this weekend, and I've spent the last few days ferrying various groups of kids around. You wouldn't believe what these kids talk about, and how engaged they are. The next generation is serious AF. It's very tiktok/Discord and gaming chat group oriented. None of them have Twitter accounts lol.

Daughter's 16th birthday party today. The house has been full of people (mostly kids, thank God), but today's the day my home is invaded fully. Fighting the urge to just grab my bow and run to the bush for the day. I know the responsible thing to do, is to put a stupid smile on my face and be as sociable as I can be, but dammit why does the right thing to do always have to be the hardest, haha!

@MelissaLMRogers No, it's still the Trudeau Liberals, which is still technically the Chretien cartel that never left.

Canadians are now driving across the USA border for Fuel and Groceries because guess what, it’s CHEAPER to do that than buy in Canada 👀 This is what Canada has become under the Carney Liberal

@micheal_ws18 Shoulder. Barbell bench press is too popular. Very few of us escape shoulder muscle imbalances and the injuries that follow.

As you may know, I recently moved back home after my years on the road for work that ended up in phoenix for a few years. While i will miss the snow, the mountains, and the desert, I had to do what was right for my family. I left because we had a baby, and the western states are now dangerous, dirty, and filled to the brim with homeless and illegals. Now that I am back in FL, everything just feels normal. It is clean, friendly, and far safer than where I used to live. But the places I went to during my travels also were at one point just like my home here. How does one motivate and warn others of the rising tide without sounding dramatic? My new goal is to keep Florida American, as I dont feel like anywhere else is my home. I am afraid that the things I saw elsewhere will eventually make it here. But right now, life is good. Easy, cheap, the weather is nice. The grass is green, the streets are clean, and everyone is going about their day. The biggest shock to me was the fact that people walking around werent homeless. Havent seen that in years. Where does one begin?

@BigthinkerBig The argument is, well since the world is going to hurt them, I had better get them prepared to deal with it. Versus, since the world is already going to hurt them, they don't need any extra pain from me.

defenders of spanking will often do this motte and bailey fallacy where they argue that people who condemn spanking are equating "lightly slapping the wrist while calm" to "going berserk and beating your kids savagely with a weapon and drawing blood" the bailey argument they are making, which is what they actually think, is that parents should be allowed to physically hurt their kids. then they retreat to the easy to defend argument, which is "going crazy and beating your kids with weapons while your really upset all of the sudden and drawing blood from your kids isn't the same thing as lightly slapping your kids on the wrist" people who condemn spanking, are not arguing they are literally the same, they are saying lightly slapping your kid on the wrist is also bad, becuase the child doesn't understand why you hit them and it doesn't actually teach them that what they did is wrong, it just teaches them that you will hit them if they do that thing in front of you. they have to do this motte and bailey argument, because its much harder to just intellectually defend physically hurting your kids, thats why people will literally not even acknowledge that they are "hitting" their kids or "hurting" their kids and will use words like "discipline", they literally do not even want to acknowledge the literal reality of what they are doing, they are striking their kids to hurt their kids.

@BigthinkerBig @punished_bobda @quickdeletion @CristusVictor So for clarification...in your eyes, a guy who likes to abuse his kids by beating them...is the same as me, when my daughter was starting to explore as a toddler, and I would say "No", with slaps on her hand, as a way to discourage her from touching certain things

@nvjohansson777 @AmericaTex4ever No. I think if I was saying anything, I think it would be that most of us men have spent our entire lives looking for a straight up enemy to fight, and I just don't think the world works that way. I don't like it anymore than you do.
