@bscholl USB-C continually evolves while retaining backward compatibility. Innovation will continue within this form factor/protocol until wireless connectivity/charging eventually replaces. Your argument is more an Ayn Rand fan fiction premise than actual reality.

@EndWokeness It would've taken you 15 seconds for you to actually confirm that figure before repeating it.

@Apex644864791 Yes. Make then vote in the US elections exactly as Drake, the Canadian, would vote in the US elections.

@AnthonySabatini If DEI means "Decreasing Expenditures for Infrastructure", exactly what Republicans have done since Nixon in order to give money back to rich benefactors. Average lifespan of an unrenovated steel bridge is less than 44 years. This bridge was 51 years old - usbridge.com/the-lifespan-o…

@sarahfritzwritr Data doesn't perpetuate anything at all. It only exists as fact. Ex: ~48% of notation software users under 30 (8M+) are female and global. So, while you're fighting last gen culture wars worrying about changing historic narrative, they're creating future REALITY and great music.

@workedntheory Cold science/algorithms based in perpetuating white male supremacy—re-enforcing systemic misogyny & racism ad nauseum. You’re happy with an unchangeable historic narrative of Mozart always & forever remaining the greatest & most frequently named composer. I am not.

A mundane question to help me with my script. Let me tell you a factoid: Even though Facebook had been around since 2004, it only introduced the 'Like' button in 2009. Looking back, I was surprised this happened so late. What about you?

@sarahfritzwritr You missed the entire point of descriptive lexicography. Parsing billions of words in print, "composer" had the highest frequency of pairing with the name "Mozart". An algorithm chose to use the example as it would have highest potential for general understanding. Cold science.

Lots of people taking the time to mock/insult me on this one.🧐 (Kind of proves my point but whatevs I’ll join in…) There’s more passion for Mozart to define the word composer than I expected. Congrats #TeamWolfgang!🥳 You’re winning! 💀

@sarahfritzwritr @bksnav It was not a loaded word choice. In fact, there was no choice at all. Oxford Press uses descriptive lexicography, an evidence-based approach where example sentences are pulled from a multi-billion word corpora of real-world use in print. You're inventing things to be outraged by.

@bksnav If that’s a necessity, (which is debatable) why not say “Mozart was a composer.” ? Inserting “her favorite” is some seriously LOADED word choice. 😒
