The blackout here in Cuba is eerie and disturbing. Whole streets with zero light, every window dark, and then you see shapes moving in the darkness and realize people are trying to live their lives. I cannot believe how cruel this US policy is. We could stop this.

I wish people would actually bring up indigenous food sovereignty outside of just using it as a weird misappropriated dunk on vegans. Most of the food deserts in the US are on/around reservations. Grocery prices are jaw dropping. People starving and displaced from their own land.

Eliminating animal products would allow us to feed the world with <1/4 of the land we use today, while cutting food emissions and water pollution in half.
It would also eliminate two of the world’s most slavery-reliant industries: meat processing and commercial fishing.

Also vegan products use a lot of water as well and rely on slave labor of children of color so it not rlly a seamless environmentally friendly solution. If the whole world went vegan you’d run into similar water usage issues + deforestation-

But to answer your question, even though your dodging the discussion here, yes I think the oppression of white men in contemporary America is worse than what black slaves went through in America. I would argue that the fact black slaves had a lower suicide rate than white men today largely speaks to this. Clearly the institutional pressure against Whites is more destructive on them than slavery was for blacks.
