@RealismHelps That figure is from the government's own data, the most robust data that exists - 1 in 3 of all workers are sexually harassed each year, thats roughly 9.8 million - hope that helps

@workerspolicy I suggest there are nowhere near 10 million, given only 35 million folk work. There is a backlog at ET sometimes, but I'bve been to numerous and never waited more than months. The reason many cases don't get heard is they're baseless................

Jo was sexually harassed at work. She reported it. She lost her job, her health, her income. She did everything right. The system still failed her. Reporting shouldn't cost you everything. Help us change that 👇

@workerspolicy @PeterStefanovi2 I fully understand and agree change needed, I was a male victim of sexual harassment by my female boss. Working at the Environment Agency, you'd expect the seriousness of a senior manager being the perpetrator I'd be protected. No, I was forced to retire 2017, still fighting

@artdeco_fan You're right, and often it doesn't meet the threshold for a conviction, despite being life destroying. At the moment there is no one body responsible for dealing with cases like Jo's, that has to change.

@RealismHelps It'll be 2 years before Jo is at a tribunal and the number of sexual harassment cases that make it to a hearing each year are in the single figures - despite there being 10 million cases a year. The systems simply isn't working

Every year, 980,000 people lose their jobs after being sexually harassed at work -  because the system protects the people who did it. Workplace sexual harassment isn’t just an equality issue. It’s a health & safety crisis. It’s time we started treating it like one. #EndNotDefend

Jo was sexually harassed at work for over a year. It affected every part of her life - her job, her health, and her ability to ever feel safe at work again. Watch her full story below. youtu.be/-a3m5hduJDo

Sexual harassment at work is common. But for many workers, reporting it is just too risky. 10 million people a year are failed - because speaking up can cost you your job, your income, your career. It's time to shift the power. #EndNotDefend

You love your job. But you're too scared to go in. That's the reality for workers facing sexual harassment. Speaking up risks your income, your health, your future - so most people say nothing & just try to survive it. No one should have to make that choice at work. #EndNotDefend

Power protects itself. When elites face serious questions, we get spin, distraction and political theatre not justice. news.sky.com/story/politics… It’s the same pattern at work complaints buried, reputations protected, victims sidelined. Accountability shouldn’t depend on status.

After working with a victim survivor who blew the whistle on this workplace sexual harassment charter, we’re really pleased to see it getting coverage. Just more proof that voluntary measures do not work. theguardian.com/society/2026/j…

Our codirector Ian Hodson told the BBC: “Workers should be able to go to work without being sexually harassed.” No worker should ever be forced to exchange sex for shifts. The current laws are not fit for purpose - and workers are paying the price.
