“so artists could be FREE” mj made sure his music got played on white only radios and tv, imposed himself above MTV, i think it doesn’t click to you that michael was a BLACK MAN, that raised himself above the racial barriers and opened doors after doors for his community
★ LIISA ★@fcknlisa

sure he influenced most artists on a performance and musical level but madonna stayed getting into trouble so artists today could be FREE to do whatever without judgment

Michael did 'eras' before Madonna debuted. He had concepts in his shows before her. HE put all elements together & created the modern pop star. Stop crediting her just cause your music history is limited to white artists. It all traces back to MJ & other Black artists

The reason artists have “eras” at all is because of Madonna. The pop concert as we know it- with acts, costume changes, set pieces, all based around a unified concept/story, is because of Madonna. Michael is a legend with everlasting impact. Madonna invented the modern popstar.

Honestly, when the topic is the marriage between Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley, I usually avoid commenting on it. Because this story has turned into such a childish fandom war one side attacking Lisa, the other attacking Michael, as if there absolutely has to be a “villain.” But after more than five years deeply studying Michael’s life, reading biographies, watching interviews, listening to testimonies, and analyzing both sides of the story, I sincerely came to the conclusion that their relationship did not end because of one person alone. What destroyed that marriage was the emotional immaturity of both of them, combined with the incompatibility of two extremely strong and complex personalities. It’s unfair to paint Lisa Marie as a villain. She came into Michael’s life during one of the most devastating periods he had ever faced, after the 1993 allegations. While the entire world was pointing fingers at him, she stood by his side. She faced the media, public criticism, and even conflicts within her own family in order to emotionally support someone who was completely fragile at the time. But it’s also important to understand her side. Lisa was a mother of two young children, and she began witnessing firsthand the chaos surrounding Michael’s life: the isolation, the overwhelming pressure of fame, the constant media harassment, and the growing dependency on medication. On top of that, there were also ongoing tensions involving the father of her children, since Lisa continued traveling and maintaining a certain closeness with him in some situations, something that deeply bothered Michael and created insecurities within the relationship. She promised him children but later backed away out of fear. And honestly, I don’t see that as a lack of love. I see it as a woman who was scared of a situation that seemed more and more out of control. But Michael was deeply hurt because she didn’t fulfill that promise.. 💔🥺 At the same time, Michael himself admitted that he had enormous difficulties with relationships, and many fans ignore that. Michael didn’t like feeling trapped. He didn’t like being controlled, didn’t like constant emotional demands, and wanted many things to happen his way. A lot of this comes from the traumatic upbringing he had and from spending his entire life trying to control his own world after the rigid childhood he experienced with Joseph. In the recorded conversations with Rabbi Shmuley, Michael openly admits this. He says he was a “failure” in romantic relationships because his heart belonged to art, the stage, and the children of the world. He also says he felt “caged” by the normal expectations of marriage. There are even recordings of these conversations available on YouTube for anyone who wants to hear it from his own mouth. And honestly, after studying Michael so deeply, I’ve come to believe that he truly did love her but he also needed freedom, isolation, control, and emotional space. And when that clashed with a woman who was equally strong, proud, and intense like Lisa, conflict became inevitable. As for Scientology and some of the things Lisa later said in interviews, I also didn’t agree with a lot of it. And regarding Scientology itself, she was pursued for years by that toxic cult. I say this because when I first became interested in their marriage as a content creator, I spent a long time studying both of them in depth, reading biographies and books about both Michael and Lisa to better understand the situation. In the end, turning this story into a fandom war is incredibly immature. Michael forgave her, and she also expressed regret. And honestly, none of us were there. None of us truly witnessed what happened inside that relationship. More than 30 years have passed, and neither of them are here anymore to defend themselves. So please, let’s celebrate what truly matters instead of spreading unnecessary hatred toward either of them.

what's up with y'all blaming the women for not making that man "happy" without ever considering that MAYBEEE he had issues too? it's always "oh my poor baby never had someone who was there for him, who could've given him the amount of kids he wanted, my poor baby 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺"

Rolling Stone even refused to feature him for the success of Off the Wall. And honestly, I think people underestimated (still) how popular Off the Wall was then because it’s categorized as “black” or “disco” album which is exactly what Michael didn’t want people to do.
t | mjtw@tlngrnd

although michael jackson was happy to be nominated for a grammy for "off the wall", he felt disrespected by his peers since it was so successful. he had a voice inside of him that said "just wait until next time, they won't be able to avoid the next album" and then made history.

i hate to say it but unfortunately michael did have a thing with proximity to whiteness.. so to be mad that people associate him with whiteness is a bit crazy.. vitiligo aside. cause he could have had black children. he could have been with black women. like he made intentional
