I know many of you have been through the loss of parents , today my sister and I sorted my Dad’s flat as he is now in a nursing home receiving end of life care it’s an emotional rollercoaster I had a tricky relationship with them but they loved each other and have made my peace

Thanks @ElenaWhitham for visiting us and allowing us to show you around the place and meeting with some of the staff and residents. We are delighted that around 148 of our 150 admissions since we opened in December 2021 have been via statutory funded places via ADPs and Prison to Rehab Pathway. Hopefully this is evidence that rehab is becoming more accessible to people who need it in all areaa of Scotland

Now government is considering a cap on overseas care worker numbers, a measure which risks worsening the chronic staffing shortage. The end result will be lots of people not getting care. It’s also not the best way to support a sector already on its knees. theguardian.com/society/2023/n…
