Supply Chains Have Broken - Now Comes the Dollar Shortage💥🔥 Supply chains, much like a fine dining experience at a luxury restaurant, appear polished and seamless on the surface - yet beneath lies a complex global web of coordination, interdependence, and logistics. In the bipolar world of 2025, understanding supply chains is critical: when one link breaks, the entire system grinds to a halt. The defining story of 2025 is undoubtedly U.S. trade policy. President Trump has reshaped global trade by imposing tariffs on imports into the U.S. Up to now, the positive effects have been more visible - but the next phase brings challenges: a looming global recession. It bears repeating: a supply chain is not merely a logistical system - at its core, it is an inverted payment chain. The challenge is that payments do not always flow in sync with the movement of goods. Trump’s trade policy has created significant distortions in these payment flows: tariff announcements prompted front-running in imports, only for the tariffs to be delayed or canceled at the last moment. The result has been waves of excess dollar payments flooding the global system. Why? Exporters to the U.S. are typically paid on T+30/60 terms from the moment goods are shipped. If shipments were front-loaded in July, the payment system feels the impact in August. When trade volumes then fall in August, there is a one- to two-month window in which excess dollar liquidity accumulates in local banking systems. Exporters, no longer needing to hedge FX exposures while payments from earlier shipments continue to arrive, generate a temporary oversupply of dollars. On August 7th, the long awaited “reciprocal tariffs” finally took effect. The impact on global trade is only beginning to be felt. We are already observing weaker economic activity at U.S. ports, with shipping volumes collapsing. As for the global payments system, dollar inflows are still being settled for shipments dispatched prior to August 7th. In the coming weeks, the decline in global trade flows will increasingly feed through into the payments system. @brisology @IvanOnTech Sorry, but I don't get how this is money printing... They borrow money from the market by issuing bonds/bills to buy back bonds/bills from the market? So the net effect is zero, they just create more liquidity to market participants by being more active.

Frequently send mix of token/NFTs between wallets in on tx. Dapps are not there yet, but listing x NFTs with on tx...

1/5) Cardano is pursuing L1 scaling, with "Input Endorsers" We can predict that this will give ADA a TPS of between 1-2k! It is a great start, but I argue it is not enough to be competitive ADA should scale its L1 more instead of relying on L2s such as Hydra & sidechains! 🧵

@GenZod7 Similar for me. Used different chains for defi and NFTs, but cardano just makes the most sense to me. Hope the number of projects and liquidity continues to grow.

Blockchains I've used over the years: XRP BTC ETH LTC ETC NEO VeChain Stellar Tron IOTA Harmony ERGO COTI Cardano And a few others that I don't really remember.. but after I found #Cardano, it was a wrap. I never really looked back much after the whiteboard video tbh.
