Children’s lives can change in an instant in the wake of war, disasters and humanitarian emergencies. We see how vulnerable they are and how much they need our protection. And the need is only growing. Today, there are more than double the number of emergencies

Survival Children are particularly vulnerable in emergencies, especially when they are separated from family members due to death, injury or moving to find safety. We respond rapidly to their immediate needs, providing water, food, shelter, hygiene and protection.

Gender and Development – Gender based violence - The Gender, Advocacy and Christian Commitment teams have played a major role in working with faith based communities in the Umvoti ADP, whereby the rolled out the Channels of Hope and Gender programme.

About Us World Vision South Africa (WVSA) started in 1967, one of the first WV offices in Africa. It has been both an internationally and locally funded resource office since then. Currently World Vision South Africa is working in six out of nine provinces in the country.

Children are cared for, protected and participating There has been a follow-up on the relationship established with the Anglican Church by the World Vision South Africa National Director. World Vision South Africa collaborated with the church and other organisations to promote.

Children educated for life Life-skills programmes were implemented in 20 schools in the ADP, and 30 schools were trained by the department of education. The feedback received from the educators in those schools is that learners are talking openly to their peers.
