@CroftonSteers It’s a nice thought, but I’m pretty sure there’s no information about union representation linked to your Phoenix profile. But yeah there’s a thousand things wrong with Phoenix so just add it to the list.

@worldofabe I agree but stand by my claim that there is no way the system should even permit strike leave to be inputted unless certain conditions are met... namely a strike. It should be a binary on/off in the backend. The system came from IBM, maybe they never had to deal with strikes.

Government peeps: So, my wife, who is under CAPE just had her pay almost entirely withheld. Why? According to Phoenix, she has been on strike. Just a little recap for those at home. Was there a strike last month? Yes, involving PSAC, a different union.

@CroftonSteers Yeah I was going to say it’s probably not quite accurate to say it’s a Phoenix error. It’s a human error. Though As someone who has entered LWOP into Phoenix, it’s just a horrible system to use. And strike LWOP has an even more cumbersome process. Errors are almost inevitable.

This is likely human error as senior managers have the burden of inputting and my wife works with some PSAC employees. That said, there should be no way that the system should allow for strike codes to be used for an employee whose union is not on legal strike. It is ridiculous.
