@jakepaul it’s unfortunate, but the courage that it takes to meet that realness is hard for most people. in the end, your soul wants you to embrace loving awareness. do you find that your realness also comes from a need to control, win, or always be right so that you can be the chosen one?

I am thrilled to announce my return to a16z as a full-time General Partner. Having made a full recovery from cancer and navigated some of life’s most taxing personal hurdles, I am returning with a sharpened sense of purpose and a deep optimism for the future, both personally and professionally. My time away reinforced that living to one's fullest capacity requires doing what you love with the people you trust. While I’ve continued to support my boards and founders, I’ve realized my greatest impact happens when I am 'all in.' I believe he current pace of innovation in infrastructure is unmatched, and I couldn't be happier to be back in the trenches with my colleagues and close friends on the a16z Infra team.

Most people have never built something from nothing. So they don’t understand how hard it is. They just see the end results and want some of it. We need to encourage more builders, more zero to one. Just so more people can fail and appreciate what it takes to win.

@Seanfrank And then you get called lucky. I agree. It's not until you've eaten shit sandwiches yourself for a decade that you can understand exactly what it takes. That's why they say no one who is "ahead" of you will ever talk shit, cause they know what it took.
