I lost my dog, Basil, suddenly on Tues. there aren’t enough words to describe what he meant to me. We weathered so much together, and throughout, he was my beacon of joy. If you have a dog, please go walk him on this beautiful day. You never know when it will be the last time.

The Maryland Jockey Club statement on sale of Preakness intellectual rights to Churchill Downs Inc. asserts TMJC maintains operational control and media rights to horse racing Triple Crown’s middle jewel.

🚨🚨🚨 This is huge. Churchill Downs Inc. acquires intellectual property rights to the Preakness, middle jewel of the Triple Crown, from Belinda Stronach’s 1ST Racing. This could put NBC in a better spot to renew Preakness television contract, which expires after this year’s race. Will be interesting to see if a new Triple Crown schedule, with additional time between Kentucky Derby and Preakness, is a possibility.
