We can announce that Gerhard Struber has been relieved of his duties as Bristol City Head Coach. Roy Hodgson will take charge of the Men’s First Team until the end of the season, while the club will task the incoming Sporting Director with appointing a permanent Head Coach for the 2026/27 campaign. The club’s recent performances have not met expectations and therefore Struber and Assistant Head Coach Bernd Eibler will leave with immediate effect.

@sonicparkins @wozza2484 Going to be a massive sale of any assets we have left in the summer good luck to whoever is left to make something out of what’s left and bargain bucket signings. Doesn’t end any other way than a sale of the club but not at the level of price the owner wants.

@sonicparkins @kieren_rees Ah I stand corrected! So the plan is find a gem, sell at profit! Cover operating losses! Get promoted! Get windfall and sell the club

@wozza2484 @kieren_rees You are not quite correct. Profit on player sales is not included in Revenue. Basically we are operationally losing £26m a year. But if we'd made £26m in player trading, we'd have broken even. Player trading needs to make up the shortfall.

@sonicparkins @sonicparkins thanks for the breakdown and analysis! Worrying reading especially as I'm sure the plan or lack of one means this will deteriorate! I suspect the short termism view of Pozzo and largely over inflated view of the squad will only add to that too!

@NicktheHornet I would change didn't to don't! To often we come up short against teams we should be doing a lot better against! Can't blame injuries. We have been like it all season when we had an abundance of options

For teams that needed a win for different reasons, that was a very flat game. Granted our squad is incredibly stretched at the moment but just felt we didn’t do enough to win the games. 7 points behind 6th probably means our season is done #watfordfc

@kieren_rees I'd disagree! First shot on target around the 60 minute mark! No grit or determination & no real clue of what the plan is! The fact that we have no clue when it comes to teams who are there for the taking! We turn up once every so often! Definitely a team that lacks character
