The Westminster Community Grant was awarded to refurbish 100 computers for adults 18+ who are mostly immigrants and people of color to support free classes to teach basic computer skills as part of job skills training.

Last month we celebrated the wonderful recipients of our Community Grant Program during worship. Today, we're highlighting @ComputerCORE, whose mission is to prepare underserved adults in Virginia to realize career aspirations with foundational digital and professional skills.

Activities at Westminster include monthly Bible studies (aka "Circles"), book groups, and the annual Women's Retreat every spring. They're gearing up for the 2023-2024 program year, so visit wpc-alex.org/presbyterian-w… to learn how to get involved!

How much do you know about @PWPCUSA? "PW" is a denomination-wide ministry for ALL women in the church. The program supports the mission of @Presbyterian and nurtures women's faith, friendship, and fellowship.

The Westminster Community Grant was awarded to fund the Weekender Program, which provides nutritious food to children in the Chirilagua community on the weekends during the school year when they don't have free school breakfast and lunch.

Last month we celebrated the wonderful recipients of our Community Grant Program during worship. Today, we're highlighting @CommunityLdgngs. For the past 30 years, Community Lodgings has helped homeless and low-income families by providing a variety of affordable housing options.

Today we lovingly and reluctantly say goodbye to our Director of Seniors Ministry, Evangeline Taylor. In their retirement, she and her husband Jeff are heading off for a new adventure in Florida!

Last week was our annual M&M ("Music & More") Summer Camp! Over 30 children and youth put on a musical called "The Animal Alleluia," the story of Jesus' birth from the perspective of the animals, after only 3 1/2 days of rehearsals. Some highlights of the week included...

...as well as resilience, problem solving & communications, & the life skills necessary for them to become resilient and productive adults and assets to their community. The Westminster Community Grant was awarded to provide tools & supplies for these apprentices.

They provide a safe haven where youth can learn career & life skills through mentoring, personalized instruction, and project-based learning. Their Apprentice Program leads youth through a 3-tier curriculum that teaches them the crafts of woodworking and boat construction...

Earlier this month we celebrated the wonderful recipients of our Community Grant Program during worship. Today, we're highlighting the @ASFBuildsLives, which serves 17-23 year olds who need a new start.
