@planetbludit @CodeCobber @bludit Every system has its advantages and disadvantages. I don't like this x is better than y. It all depends on the person, who wants to use it, on the project etc.

@planetbludit @CodeCobber @bludit It's just a too difficult level for absolute lay people, who want to do it on their own. That has nothing to do with searching for reasons to stick to my old system. WordPress can be installed and run out of the box by absolute lay people. Bludit is not for lay people.

@planetbludit @CodeCobber @bludit I'm taking the perspective of lay people. Many people running WordPress are absolute lay people installing their webhoster's WordPress package. The self-hosted comment systems add a second level of difficulty for them. The third party solutions are the legally problematic ones.

@CodeCobber @planetbludit @bludit So, if you just need a simple website without a blog and comments, it's a great alternative, otherwise, it's getting harder to make it work, and WordPress is easier.

@CodeCobber @planetbludit @bludit To be honest, I'm still struggling with the missing native comment feature. As long as I don't have found an easy solution for this, I can't recommend Bludit to lay people.The existing plugins make it more complicated to get comments to work or are legally problematic in Germany.

@Krypto_XRP @planetbludit @bludit Two years ago, I had major problems wirh installation, but now, it works like a charm.

Ich bin grade sehr begeistert vom Flat-File-CMS @bludit. Es läuft ohne Datenbank, ist wahnsinnig schnell, bietet viele Erweiterungen und einige solide Themes. Und es ist sogar DSGVO-konform. Sicher kann man damit nicht alles machen, aber für einfache Webprojekte ist es optimal.

@Serafina2k @AtariFrosch Das würde hier nicht helfen. Es handelt sich um eine App, die die DMs verschickt, wenn man ihr Zugriff aufs Konto gibt.

Im Moment sind komische Twitter-DMs von offenbar kompromittierten Accounts mit Instagram-Links im Umlauf. Ich würde mal sagen Vorsicht damit.

Tolle Wurst! WordFence schaltet sich ab, bis man neue TOS akzeptiert, und ändert default setting bezüglich Benachrichtigungen. Überprüft eure Einstellungen!

Der Tag gehört abgeschafft! Das regelmäßige Ändern von Passwörtern ohne konkreten Anlass macht selbige UNSICHERER! Das haben Studien gezeigt. Die Komplexität SINKT, wenn man User regelmäßig dazu zwingt, sie zu ändern! Das sollte daher nur geschehen, wenn es einen Vorfall gab!

@AtariFrosch Außerdem muss es ja auf der aktuellen PHP-Version laufen, nicht auf einer alten.

@AtariFrosch Das wäre bei PHP 4 denkbar, aber bei WP 5.3 war schon PHP 7 aktuell. Daher eher unwahrscheinlich.

Ich empfehle auf WordPress dringend das Plugin WP DoNotTrack (wordpress.org/plugins/wp-don…). Das blockiert Cookies und Trackingcodes von Drittanbietern. Neulich haben sich sogar zwei Cookies am Cookie-Consent vorbeigeschmuggelt. Wenn das unbemerkt passiert, kann das böse Folgen haben.
