@davidkmcgown But therein lies the problem. By crossing the floor, it TAKES AWAY said choice of the voter. They have NO say. If an MP wants to cross to the other team, he should call a bi-election and let the VOTER have the say.

So what exactly was the purpose of importing EV’s? To have them sit in lots unsold? In Canada, data would show that unless there are rebates, EV’s hardly sell. The only time they do is through subsidies… so the deal with China includes what exactly? Canadian auto dealers now forced to make room for EV’s nobody wants unless the taxpayer helps them afford it? All the while, the Canadian government has spent billions to already subsidize an alleged EV market that’s apparently going to happen one day? Putting aside the more sinister concerns and speculations… let’s assume those weren’t real for a moment—how exactly do Canadians as a whole benefit from this arrangement? Didn’t we vote in mark carney to get a deal with Trump by last summer?
