@NicholasCarr I was fine with Miami going to Gainesville because they were in the same pod and only site within 400 miles of Coral Gables but Lipscomb was on the table for like 5 sites. Just flip Lipscomb and Milwaukee!

@wpmcgee I understand you can’t do no rematches when teams play 10+ schools over midweeks but I do think it’s pretty easy to do no weekend rematches

Couple stray thoughts on the selection process. Probably be a couple tweets long. - Jon Gilbert obviously did zero work to help his fellow American team UTSA get in. American got 1 with the SBC at 5 despite being 7 and 5 in RPI respectively

Was just sent how the priority list for regional tickets will be determined:

- There was little rhyme or reason for some of the 17-32 seeds. Oklahoma was in the 29-32 pod with UVA 21-24 despite OU being 2 spots better in RPI and having identical league records with similar Q1 records.

- NC State not last 4 in is beyond perplexing. RPI in the 50s, 242 NCSOS, 5-11 Q1, 14-17 ACC composite. Reeks of a sentimental pick with Avent retirement. - Lipscomb going to Starkville after playing there in a series when they were within 400 miles of several sites. Come on.

@gary_harris Jax State AD on the committee. My guess is he preferred going to Hattiesburg as a #3 rather than a SEC/ACC as a #2. But I'm OK given no Arkansas/Tennessee/OM.

61/64. Not my best year. Thought if Troy got in they'd also put in Mercer since they had the H2H series win. NC State feels like a sentimental pick with Avent with their RPI/league record/NCSOS. Didn't expect the SBC to get 5 with the American getting 1.

Little Rock HC Chris Curry played for Berry at Meridian CC. They came here in 2020 for a buy series.

Little Rock's a grizzled 4 but the ace is a right hander at least. UVA seeded a little higher than I thought but I've got a lot of respect for Chris Pollard and that's a good roster. Really surprised Jax State was a #3. Might have been some seeding manipulation from their AD.

We're 2-2 in regional openers at home with a -6 run differential in those games. Desperately need a relatively stress-free game on Friday.

Tennessee could be on the table for Chapel Hill now if the committee leans heavily on RPI.

Auburn getting a top 4 a little surprising but they had an identical resumè last year (17-13, toughest SOS, excellent RPI) and got the #4 last year so not a huge shock.
