@tkpipedreams Yeah. In some ways the dome trend sucks because half the NFL is going to be indoors before long (and I say this as a fan of a team that plays inside and I like it) but having a roof allows you to host so many more events.

@wpmcgee Think many NFL owners are realizing this and they're going the domed/artificial turf route to be better suited to host concerts, CFB games, etc. Funny thing is a ground like Anfield in Liverpool is also hosting concerts because they employ many people to take care of the grass.

A lot of NFL stadiums are pretty underused compared to major European soccer venues.

Think about like Buffalo vs. Man United. Buffalo gets 8-9 home dates in the regular season + 1-2 preseason games and maybe a playoff game or 2. Old Trafford will host 19 league games then you add on top of that FA/Carabao Cup and UEFA competition.

The French manager kinda reminds of an oafish college football/basketball coach that doesn’t know Xs and Os and is just there because he can get players.

Something I like about soccer is there's lots of esoteric things you can nerd out over. It's fun learning about how UEFA coefficients work.

The EPL is by far the most accessible league for Americans because of the NBC/Peacock contract and the English language but I can't get behind any team in it because of the huge chasm in TV revenue between it and the other European leagues. It's like rooting for a SEC/B1G team.

If I ever got into a European club team, it'd be Rangers (Ulster ancestry semi-bit) or some Moneyball-type operation in a bigger league like Atalanta.

The 48-team format has made the actual tournament more fun but it's removed a lot of intrigue in qualifying for CONCACAF. You're going to replace USA vs. Mexico and Canada for USA vs. Suriname and Bermuda.

Most of what I know comes from listening to Adam Friedland's World Cup podcast so take what I say with a giant grain of salt but I was worried the Balogun ruling would light a fire under Belgium. They've struggled with chemistry and that got them pulling in the same direction.
