A tricky job in a tight spot yesterday for @LukeUnsworth capturing a high-res image of J P Beadle's painting of Gheluvelt, currently fixed on top of a 9-foot display case in the Worcestershire Soldier Gallery. Can't wait to share the results with @MMP1917 for their new exhibit!

Out again today with @armymuseumsuk,at @wr_museum which displays collections of Worcs Regt and Worcs Yeomanry. Amazingly varied collection including 1st medal to a Black soldier, Boer War pear blossom cap favour, and the great juxtaposition of trench armour with a FM's baton.

Our staff have recently installed a Gallipoli Marker on the grave of Petty Officer Stoker Harry John Baker, who had previously been commemorated on our Chatham Naval Memorial. Harry is at rest in Sittingbourne Cemetery, Kent, where we care for 70 casualties of both world wars.

The Battle of Arras commenced early on 9 April 1917. This, the 106th anniversary, also marks the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Wellington Tunnels Museum and the inauguration of the 'Faces of War' exhibition by Belgian artist Jan Fieuw >  bit.ly/40ZyLbE

Pleased to attend service of dedication for the previously unmarked grave of Private Herbert Henry Tingle in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Local historians and @CWGC volunteers and staff had worked for several years to ensure that Private H. H Tingle’s grave could be officially marked.
