The same is of course true for tokens like $ETH, which are meant to be used to run smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Meanwhile, $PHC is meant to be used in the exchange of health related goods and services. They are, by definition, not securities, even if there are those who would choose to speculate and profit from that speculation.

While the government can choose to say otherwise, as government has a history of ignoring definitions, $WRLD and its related cryptoassets are not securities. They are utilities, as they are meant to be used. WRLD's core function is in the creation of branch tokens like $PHC.

Imagine if artists had to start registering with the SEC in order to be "legal." Sounds absurd? That's how absurd it is when the SEC tries to force every cryptoasset, including utility cryptoassets, to be securities.

We have to be real here. The SEC is going to try to regulate cryptoassets to death. However, they might go so far that they end up threatening their own legitimacy. For instance, to label NFTs as securities should imply that paintings are securities.
