@ININ_Games I would’ve paid more for a proper physical. Is there any upgrade path for the switch 1 version? That could be a good middle ground solution.

We know many of you would love to have R-Type Dimensions III on a full physical cartridge, especially for the Special or Collector’s Edition, and we truly appreciate that passion. Unfortunately, because all Nintendo Switch 2 units of a product line must use the same physical format and around 90% of production is planned for standard retail, switching entirely to cartridges would significantly raise manufacturing costs and increase the retail price by at least 15€. To avoid this, we chose to release the game on a key card while continuing to explore alternative solutions for the Special and Collector’s Edition. There is still hope for a real cartridge, and we are trying everything. For more information and future updates, please check out the blog post on iningames.com.
