Any other coffee-fueled programmers here? What beans are you into, and how do you take your coffee? I’m convinced there’s a link between your go-to brew and the code you write. I’ll start: latte + Swift.

@jamespotter Hard to even understand that for me. Why would you even bother?

It's no longer interesting to read the replies to other people's posts on this site anymore. 95% AI slop. Some of it cleverly disguised but still fundamentally slop. Sad. Hacker News comments are still mostly unclankered.

Homework. Luckily since February I have a bit more bandwidth because it is very hard to catch up, even if you narrow it down and focus...

The rule is simple, if it can be codified and it is economically more efficient than a human doing so, it eventually will be. Incentive dynamics win in the long run.

Hit Claude's limit. Raw dogging my code now. It feels... dirty?! 😜

Me: today I am going to lock in, marketing and distribution only. Me (3 hours later), have bought a new domain for a new product, drafted a landing, obsessing with a new idea... 😅👨‍💻😜

In a coworking space today. It feels SO sluggish not to be able to use my voice for dictation and instructions! I’m so used to doing things that way now...

Great take on PM's vibe coding, spicy indeed. My two cents. It is completely accurate at an organisation with Meta's size. There is probably a sweet spot ratio on how much leverage your vibe coding skills can provide, balanced by the scope of the diff, but okay. On smaller companies, I'd say it is a different story. ddmckinnon.com/2026/02/11/my-…

Working with agents is kind of like working with a very talented colleague who sometimes has trouble understanding simple things (to you). They resolve complex things in a fraction of the time you expected, brilliantly. Sometimes, they struggle with CSS.

Should have a self imposed rule to now code past certain hour of the day... I love it, but I am also afraid of present me, messing things up for future me...

Working on a clearer, more convenient visual indicator for Yakki. A few users weren’t fans of the glass look or where it sits, so I’m exploring a “Dynamic Island”-style approach—built around the Mac camera safe area. It’s better placed, less intrusive, and unlocks a lot of new possibilities. What do you think? 👎👍 🤔

Favourite apps I have bought or renewed lately (in no particular order): - Readout : great for cleaning and getting visibility of repos/token spending... - @CleanShot : best for screenshots - @screenstudio : there is no better tool for demo apps and presenting features - Klack: if you want to be annoying in a coworking, but also if you miss your mechanical keyboard - WhyFi: to check the quality of my network wherever I am - Ice: keep my menu bar clean and organised - @1Password : amazing, critical for security
