@s_sapphi Byleth's hair color is the same way. The House Leaders have rather vibrant colors while Byleth's are darker and muted bc of how they behave. If Byleth had bright red hair it wouldn't mesh with their character

@Oofwav3 @GangisKon "Byleth has no personality" nearly 7 years later when this was...never true. Byleth is taciturn, a bit awkward socially, blunt and pragmatic at first but still an empathetic person at the core

@GangisKon @olivecider776 Byleth is the 2nd best (in terms of character) because they have no personality. Isn't the point of an avatar to be a blank slate for the player to self insert?

i would be more okay with avatar characters in FE if they were like actually good(like robin)

@EricBot13 @olivecider776 Made sense in those games, but wouldn't for the Switch ones since considering the different direction being set in stone. Byleth for instance, having boons in swords, faith, authority and brawling align with their upbringing and character. Changing that is odd.

@wumbo__cumbo @olivecider776 Yeah I get the hair thing, I mostly just wanted some gameplay customization, Robin and Corrin have predefined personalities but still allow you change up their growths and bases.

@EricBot13 @olivecider776 Nah. Changing their hair and boon/bane just outright wouldn't make sense. They're deliberately designed to where changing them to how you see fit does not align with their characters

@olivecider776 Ye I get why they don't allow it but I wished they at least had the boon and bane system, also wish they'd let us change Byleth's boons in weapon ranks so i'd be easier to use him in whatever class you'd want.
