Alex Bowman heads to the garage, having to slowly pass a few race fans and one who didn’t realize a race car was passing by him.

@BoziTatarevic Unpopular opinion: On a personal level, having space to stretch out and relax while watching a race is a far better experience than a sold-out crowd packed elbow to elbow.
English

Bristol had a crowd of more than 70,000 from what I've seen so the atmosphere was there and not being sold out is quite different than a facility being empty.
70k is more than the entire capacity of tracks like Darlington and Martinsville.

@BoziTatarevic Atmosphere. The crowd screaming as a pass is made, the audio piped into the broadcast, they play on each other Imagine the '98 500 without a crowd Any hockey final with nobody in the stands Imagine college football games without fans A world cup with empty seats I can go on

@RCRracing @TheKyleBuschfan @ItsBristolBaby @BassProShops @winchester @BankOZK @austindillon3 @KyleBusch That Daytona 500 pole seems like 5 years ago.

@TeamKFBfan8 @ItsBristolBaby @NASCAR Time to reconfigure it back to the way it was before 2007. Do that and see how the crowd reacts before dropping a date
English

Looking at the amount of empty seats, is it time? Would @ItsBristolBaby benefit from having only 1 race date a @NASCAR season?

@ebritz9 @DGIveyNASCARFan @bobpockrass Putting Bristol back to its original configuration would fix it.
English

@bobpockrass I’m so over this traction compound experiment. Doesn’t help the racing what so ever here. It ruined the surface at Texas. Took years to finally wither away at phoenix. How about we fix the car? They’ll do anything but fix the actual problems.

@bobpockrass @NASCARONFOX How bout they put the track back to its original configuration before they dug it up and re did it??
English

Bristol and NASCAR workers did two applications of the PJ1 an hour before the start of truck practice. Plan is to do the same application Saturday and Sunday. It is a four-foot wide strip just above the apron in the turns. @NASCARONFOX
