After 20years Clinical Director, Pharmacy & Medicines Optimisation @ Wye Valley NHS Trust , I am retiring. This creates a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and ambitious pharmacist to join and lead this amazing team. Happy to be contacted to discuss nhsjobs.com/job/UK/Herefor…

Watching our glorious and diverse Olympic team, thinking about our fantastic and diverse staff caring for patients and deeply ashamed by the vile, racism fuelled violence that is sweeping parts of our country. I will stand up to racism in all its forms.

Our surgical robot has just been delivered - so we can provide world class care to our patients. A very exciting day at WVT

We're calling on WVT staff who are not working (are on annual leave/not on shift) or those who work part time, & are available to work on inpatient wards, to contact the Bank Office (via switch) at Hereford County Hospital ASAP. This includes clinical and non-clinical staff

@wvtmd I was one of the 'boarded' patients for 2 nights in the corridor on Frome ward, and I have nothing but praise for all the amazing staff who cared for me in very challenging circumstances.

It has been a tough start to the year. Thank you to all our teams who have worked incredibly hard with skill and compassion. With 3 patients ‘boarded’ (extra) on our wards and 20+ patients waiting for admission in ED it’s tough for patients and staff. Well done team WVT I’m proud

There's the moral argument for increasing nurses' pay - very strong. Then, there's the economic argument. Want to fill all those vacant nurses' posts? Pay a decent wage, and relieve the pressures of understaffed services.

@NHSStrategist @LindseyBonnick However at our local provider responding to a patient by email is taboo. Also - QEHB- we can access all test results online, WVT- no access to anything. But at least primary care has ‘patient access system’ such variance- Crazy or what in 2022! @wvtmd

The NHS made two appointments for me, I attended neither because the letter did not arrive until after the appointment. The response - “we are seeing a lot of this because.. mail strikes”. Maybe time to stop wasting valuable resources and start using different communication? 💡

I have supported Boris Johnson for 15 years, for the London Mayoralty and for PM. Very sadly, I have written to him to say I can no longer do so, for the reasons set out below.

Describing the NHS as “feckless”, as @Telegraph did last week, is insulting and inaccurate. NHS staff are working completely flat out to provide the best possible care amidst a wide range of very difficult challenges. Letter in today’s @Telegraph 👇. R/T or like if you agree.
