State Street Spartan Spotlight- students of fourth quarter. Congratulations!

State Street Kindergarten students sang and celebrated the completion of Kindergarten and moving on to first grade. It was a proud day for students and parents. Thank you Mr. Luksa and all the Kindergarten teachers for a great closing program!

Third Ave Kindergarten students were named as May’s Star Spartans.  Congratulations to the following students 1st Row - Evan Jackson, Addison Bednar, Emilia Blocker 2nd Row - Noah Romanowski, Eliza Melton, Irelynn Masloski, Cayson Burke.

Graduation Update: Graduation will continue as planned tomorrow night despite the impact of Canadian wildfires. Onward and upward WVW Class of 2023!

The Class of 2023!

For the month of May, Dana Elementary Center collects non-perishable food items for donation to Saint Vincent de Paul‘s Kitchen Pantry during their lowest collection time.  Pictured in the photo is Mr. Stull’s 5th grade class. GREAT JOB ALL!!!

On Friday, June 2nd the WVW MS 7th and 8th Grade Band traveled to Red Land High School on Lewisberry for a Trills and Thrills Festival where they were honored with a rating of Excellent. Following their festival, the students enjoyed the remainder of the day at Hersheypark. 🎶

11 students from State Street received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence today at a special awards ceremony. Great work and best of luck at the Middle School!

Congratulations to our MS STEM students on our annual Rubberband Racer. Special kudos to winners, pictured below, 1st place Richard Jimenez, second place Mackenzie Slominski, and third place Madison Powell. The winning drive distance was 55’7”. Thank you Mr. Moran!

Students from our High School were introduced to careers in aviation through Susquehanna “STEM to the Skies”program. Thank you!

Wilkes University’s Science in Motion program  presented the StarLab planetarium to our fourth grade students at State Street today.   Learning about science through this inflatable, portable planetarium brought plenty of “oohs” and “ahs.” Thank you Wilkes University!

Wyoming Valley West Marching Band was one of many highlights of the Wyoming Valley Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony at the Forty Fort Cemetary today.

WVW Unified Track Team placed 5th overall at the Pennsylvania State Track and Field Championships held at Shippensburg University Friday and Saturday. Congrats to all the athletes and coaches on an amazing accomplishment and year!!!

Wyoming Valley West High School recently conducted its annual Senior Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 24th. 60 students were honored with 116 individual awards/honors. The total sum of monetary awards pledged by individual donors exceeded $30,000!

Dana Elementary Center recognizes May Students of the Month!

On Tuesday, May 16th, the WVW Middle School Band performed their Spring Concert! The concert featured the 5th Grade Elementary Band, 6th Grade Band, 7th/8th Grade Band and WVW MS Jazz Band.

State Street Elementary’s 5th grade students toured the West Side Career and Technical Center today as part of Career and Future Readiness. A fantastic morning! Thank you WSCTC!!!!

On Friday evening, the Junior-Senior Prom was held at the Woodlands Resort 450 students attended the beautiful affair.   Thank you to the Class of 2023 & Class of 2024 Advisers, Officers and high school Administration for all of your work to help make last night a success!
