IMCF has one of the 5 worst academies in MLS right now. They’ve lost Presson/Dale/Starrett (all top 20 or better talents in their YOB) this season due to their own ineptitude. They have one solid YOB (‘09). The rest are MNU, Timbers level. From a club in Miami. Such a shame.

If it’s not at their level it just becomes noise. I had a U7 game the other week and a coach had a flip folder showing subs where to go on set pieces 🙈

@TheBolivianYank I agree with you, but it also depends on the club and its leadership of where you’re at. There are some clubs still out there that prioritize quality and not quantity.

This is why club soccer in the US doesn’t work. I know too many coaches—and good ones…that decided to walk away because of not wanting to deal with parents being your boss (since they are who funds it). Our culture has it backward. Should b funded by pro clubs and many!
