@lewesherriot i agree it’s clever to see it as a challenge so you can learn about yourself even after hundreds of creation, more easy to say of course because i know it’s a frustrating process most of the time but this is what adds matter to an artist over time

@wynjacks As a child i would make 5 pieces of art a day and loved each one. As an adult i struggle to finish a piece monthly because im so hypercritical. I try not to consider it a problem and more a challenge to dissolve and then coagulate the opposites.

@schauermannx2 when the ego enters the room with all the questions about recognition, it’s very difficult to understand. there is always this fear of losing « that » feeling that pushes you to create in the first place dilutes with adapting yourself to the expectation of others

@schauermannx2 love to see your take about about the game project, bc most of the time outside of sketching the idea and doing the final touches i find the process so painful and frustrating even though it’s necessary and I think it’s because it adds matter to the body of work

@schauermannx2 i think you re pointing out the very ambivalence of an artist journey when it comes to look for our essence and a cathartic pain of going a little bit further than yesterday with each creation, might takes years..probably a lifetime

I often think about this. I have ambitious goals that, even though they’re only slightly outside my comfort zone, make me wonder whether this is still that childlike experience. And whether I should leave my comfort zone for a result that will definitely be better than just having fun like a child.
