No Rolls Royce seized, No G-Wagons, Not a single Plaza, or Big Estate, not even an illegal plot of land tied to his name. Just an honest man guilty of being in the opposition.

"No gree for anybody o!" "If I were a bandit, you wouldn't be standing here," she fired back. A Hausa/Fulani woman stood up for her dignity after security operatives ordered everyone to come out for a search. When one of the officers allegedly said, "That one is Yoruba, not Fulani. Don't search her," she perceived the remark as disrespectful and responded by defending both her dignity and that of her community.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour, beloved mother of the ADC Governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, @GRVlagos. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Gbadebo, the Rhodes-Vivour familiy, and all who mourn her passing. At moments like this, no words can truly ease the pain of losing a loved one. I pray that the Almighty God grants her eternal mercy, forgives her shortcomings, and comforts the family with the strength and patience to bear this profound loss. May her soul rest in perfect peace. -AA

I've interviewed presidents, governors, generals, activists and politicians. But sometimes it's the interviews with the families left carrying the emotional burden that stay with you. A few days ago, I interviewed the lawyer Asiya El-Rufai, wife of former Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai. She spoke with the precision of a legal expert and the pain of a spouse. She didn't ask me to defend her husband. She didn't ask Nigerians to take sides. She spoke instead - quietly but powerfully - about constitutional rights, due process, access to lawyers and doctors, and the emotional toll prolonged detention takes on a family. It reminded me that behind every politically charged courtroom battle is a human story. Whatever anyone thinks of Nasir El-Rufai politically, one truth remains: the rule of law only has meaning when it protects people whose politics we may disagree with. That is why due process is not a favour. It is the foundation of democracy. Power is temporary. The legal precedents we tolerate today may become the standards - and the nightmare - we all live under tomorrow.

@Abdulherphyz After elections, because Elrufai was sidelined, he started denigrating the President, jumping from one media house to another till he finally shot himself by that reckless statement of wiretapping NSA phone. Lessons, you can’t fight a man in power and succeed against him. Once

This humiliation of Elrufai wasn't accidental. Bola Tinubu has never forgiven him for saying to Aregbesola "Rauf, you know I'm not an Asiwaju person, I'm your person" and saying "We'll teach Lagos how to end Godfatherism". Nuhu Ribadu does not even realise he's just a pawn in this Bola Tinubu's gambit. Again, Elrufai is a political prisoner, the regime intends to keep him till after 2027 elections. #FreeElrufai

Who remember this Legend… 😂 In 2019, An Assistant Superintendent of Customs named Nura Dalhatu promoted himself to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General. He walked into the office of the Comptroller-General, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), and demanded that he step aside. He claimed that then-President Muhammadu Buhari had directed him to take over the leadership of the agency.

A Wife’s Tears, A Nation’s Conscience: Let Justice Have a Heart. I woke this morning in America and was deeply moved by an emotional viral video of Hajiya Asiya El-Rufai, prompting deep reflection on our nation’s future. Regardless of the allegations against Mallam Nasir El-Rufai or any other citizen, justice must be transparent and fair, with reasonable bail conditions that should not be seen as punitive before trial. In a democracy governed by the rule of law, institutions exist to protect every citizen's rights, regardless of their background. We must resist any hint of selective justice that erodes public trust and threatens national unity. Those tasked with enforcing our laws must act professionally and strictly follow due process. Let us strive for a Nigeria where the law is paramount, and where every citizen is guaranteed dignity and justice. This is the foundation of the New Nigeria we envisage. -PO
