racing game players can be so picky and choosey and miserable. racings games are a dying genre and forza is the most accessible arcade racer that isn't mariokart brother. it's a game that will create new car people. Forza's success only breathes life into the genre.

@portable_kettle @burgeoisiee They do, but after horizon 2 they took the meaning of building yourself up to higher tiers away by just handing out every s and x tier car like its candy.

@x7rocks @burgeoisiee Hardcore fans do and games like Forza is a gateway to becoming more of a racing game fan.

Same. And this was part of the debacle for motorsport was people had to level up particular cars so they can rise through the ranks. Was it irritating? Maybe a little at first but building a 600 hp 350z in its 1st 10 minutes of ownership was pretty lame. I thoroughly enjoyed making particular cars for particular classes to race online.

@x7rocks @burgeoisiee That's true, though I haven't played Motorsport due to the launch debacle. But I 100% agree with Horizon. Apparently they fixed that, so I hope it'll be better

@ActingRiot05 @burgeoisiee There's one that includes engine and oil temp like the originals so I use that mode but this game also has tire wear. You can cool the car off by idling or driving slowly then get back to racing your next set of rivals.

@ActingRiot05 @burgeoisiee Also. To comment on those claiming "jdm slop" should have their knees slapped. Harshly. they're blatantly ignoring the games origin in the Tokyo race scene in the 80s and 90s and was a game series in the 2000s

@x7rocks @burgeoisiee I remember people were excited for TXR to come back and when EA came out it was the new shit but there was also other calling it JDM slop but when the full game came out it just vanished I might be the only person to play TXR nowadays but I want more Genki stuff

@burgeoisiee Thank god. That implementation in the 1st game is what made every race balanced and fun. Man im gonna boot up the 1st and 2nd horizon today. They were peak, and im hoping 6 delivers in the same quality as the first two.

Believe me I was definitely in on TXR the moment I saw they are releasing a game after an 18 year? Hiatus. And they knocked it out the park by sticking to their formula. My only issue with horizon is gifting you an s or x class car for driving 2 miles We need to have that grind again to make having a ferrari feel special again. Similar to how horizon did it in 1 and 2. Which I thoroughly believe was peak horizon.

@x7rocks i think we do support them. i bought a lot of indie racing games these past few years. TXR 25 was an amazing game

Thats what motorsport was. But they killed that off by making people *checks notes* Actually grind their cars. The problem with horizon is. You log in, and bam, you're given a rank X car after driving 2 miles. After horizon 2 it started going tits up in earning faster cars and made People lazy.
