Since HCS is over, I’m starting a series of tweets where I talk about interesting/crazy stuff that has happened to me at Lan events the past 4 years, both in and out of game. First one is right here! 👇👇👇 Lan story #1 -- HCS Worlds 2025 I had a bit of a health scare this event. I told people I was gonna give everything I had for the last Lan, and apparently I gave a little too much… Saturday we played a lot of games, it was another 12 hour day at the venue. I hadn’t eaten much that day, but I was drinking water and electrolytes. During our last series, we were playing Cloud 9 for Top 4. Right at the end of the series, we were about to win 3-1 and we were all yelling, getting excited. All of a sudden even though my eyes were open my entire vision went black, I couldn’t see anything for a few seconds and I felt extremely lightheaded/numb. I’m honestly not sure if I passed out or not. When I got my vision back it was hard to breathe and I felt disoriented and dizzy. Luckily the series was over and our day was done. I didn’t tell my teammates what happened, I just told them I wasn’t going to yell anymore because I hurt my voice (I didn’t want to mess with their confidence). Finally eating some food helped a little, but I was still messed up for a few days after, feeling disoriented and lightheaded. It definitely affected my energy going into Sunday. When we got onto main stage to warmup before our series, my body was so tight I had to have Precision give me a massage because my wrist and neck muscles kept cramping up. I still ended up playing well on Sunday even though I felt horrible. Nothing would’ve changed Optic dominating us though, they were simply the better team. That’s it for the first Lan story. I’m not sure if people really think about how hard it can be for pro players mentally/physically to play so much and stay completely locked for an entire weekend, so thought I’d share that!
