Remember when cable tv had: - Linear TV programming - TV on demand - Movies on demand - Live sports Hollywood needs to figure out how to bring this back in the modern era or else it’s going to cannibalize itself. The late 2010’s had figured all of this out but was locked behind old cable TV infrastructure. And it solves so many problems streaming has created. - Linear TV solves the choice paralysis problem - TV series on demand solves the binge problem. - Release movies after theatrical release period (8 weeks minimum). - Live sports are easily watchable without 9 separate apps Now tie all this together into a single destination/app/box. Unironically @Tubi and @PlutoTV are kind of the answer but it only really hosts “throw-away” content. Getting newer shows/currently running shows would absolutely send that app into the stratosphere. On top of that ad rev would surge and would hopefully make everyone happy. You could even pair it with premium content behind a bundles and whatnot. Just something to think about.

@gryfun3 Yeah using the cost by episode can get funky. Especially with episodes ranging from 45 minutes to over 2 hours. I see some people use cost per minute but that just looks even funkier.

If you told me it was going to be $350, I’d be sad, but I’d believe it.
