I Am Liberty

The youth of this nation need a massive shot of Patriotism or WE WILL NOT SURVIVE. My call is for a new Revolutionary mindset, a discarding of antiquated assumptions about the separation between progress and conservativism. We must forge a new brand of Progressive that allows (publicly) for the exaltation of Family, Excellence, and Prosperity. My call is for the youth to rise above the complacent mediocrity that modern culture has forced upon us. We are Liberty, battered but unbowed, spirits forged by oppression. Let us reclaim the soul of our land, not with timid words and apologies, but with a confident roar. With Family (and Community) as our bedrock, Excellence as our banner, and Truth as our unrelenting charge. The tyrants of stagnation will tremble, for we are the unbroken, the unbowed, and we will always win.

Capitalism is in serious danger because it’s becoming impossible to justify wealth as ‘earned.’ If someone earns his wealth - like Carnegie - you should celebrate. You build factories and increase overall wealth, employ people - that’s earned. Now we have ‘streamers.’ And we have people who bought BTC in 2012 who say they’ve ‘earned’ their Hawaii lifestyle. They didn’t do anything. And frankly ‘investors’ who made fortunes on network effects didn’t do anything. Venture capital is not Rockefeller and the railroads. This is all totally unstable. It doesn’t help that we have ‘meme coins’ - which are just bribes - coming from all over, including the White House. If you want to save capitalism from the communists nipping at your heals - and they are - you have to realize the system as it exists immiserates people in large numbers who would otherwise accepts wealth disparities. It’s in the interests of everyone to get this under control - because if any upheaval occurs - we will all be broke.

@WhizzbangKC @goddek The winners are the ones who've borrowed and not yet repaid. The wealth/debt itself is kinda meaningless; in a debt-based system, true power lies in receiving goods and services while deferring payment, and then paying that debt back in inflated currency.

It's the old story of the hotel guest in a small town. Paid $20 for a room and went to get dinner before going to the room. The hotel operator owed the baker $20 so he took the cash and paid her. She owed the hair dresser $20, paid it. Hair dresser owed the florist $20 and paid it. Florist owed the hotelier $20 and so paid that debt. The guest returned from dinner, having made a phone call and discovering plans had changed. Since he had never even gone to the room, he requested a refund, which was cheerfully granted. In this story $100 of debt existed, which was all paid with $20, and that money left town in the same pocket it entered. Is there a flaw in that logic? The answer to your question lies within the story.

Christian Bale is really the only good thing about Thor: Love and Thunder. As a die-hard fan of Bale, I didn’t love Christian’s decision to join the MCU, especially during this phase. But despite my issues with this movie, I think Bale still gives a memorable performance.
